Tour from Marrakech to Zagora for 5 days / 4 nights – desert exploration and bivouac experience

We depart from Marrakech and pass through the high Atlas Mountains, Tizi N'tichka, after that we will drive to Ait Ben Haddou where we have a short stop to explore the Ksour of Ait Ben Haddou village to see ancient Kasbah ranked by the UNESCO since 1987, it is one of the world top touristic attractions. Many movies were filmed in there including Gladiator, The Mummy (1999), Lawrence of Arabia... Then, we will continue to Ouarzazte where is the studio of cinema is situated and visit an exotic Kasbah of Taourirt. After that, we will drive to the Zagora via Oasis of Agdaz, and the great valley of dara'a.Dinner and overnight staying at the Riad.

After breakfast, we will start our jounery to Sahara Desert Merzouga via palms of Draa valley where we will see great trees of palms side the road. After that, we drive to discover Berber villages, Tazarine, N'kob and Alnif. Then, we continue our way to Rissani through the Ksours and Kasbahs of Tafilalet. Thus, we will continue to the fascinating dunes of Erg Chebbi, where you will ride camel trekking directly to the oasis and you will enjoy the sunset sleep in nomadic tents in the middle of dunes of Merzouga. Dinner and overnight in the bivouac.

We will wake up early on the morning to see the spectacle of the sunrise over the sand dunes of the Sahara. After we returned to the hotel, you can have a shower and breakfast. Then we will make a circuit of the Sahara dunes where we meet nomads, you will have the opportunity to drink some tea with nomad family, and visit a small village called Khamlia where you can listen to Gnoua music, before heading to Rissani. You will have some traditional lunch in a local restaurant. After lunch we will take the road back to the hotel. Dinner and overnight at the hotel.

After breakfast, we'll leave Merzouga to Todra Gorges, drive to Todra valley and the Todra Gorges. Lunch at the spot, enjoying the beautiful scenery. Then we continue and have several stops along the Dades Valley. You will see the „monkey fingers valley“ and the Dades Gorge. drive through the Rose Valley to Ouarzazate. You will see the beautiful Kasbah Amridil, located near Skoura, and many beautiful spots on the way. After a short visit of Kasbah Taourirt in Ouarzazate, we drive to the riad. Dinner and overnight in the riad.

After breakfast in the hotel, we leave Ouarzazate in the morning, we will visit UNESCO protected site of Ait Ben Haddou, a most impressive Kasbah and well-preserved fortress in Morocco. Many movies were filmed here such as the Gladiator. Leave Ait Ben Haddou and start heading towards the majestic Atlas Mountains. Cross the High Atlas Mountains via the highest road pass in Morocco Tizni Tichka 2260m high offering impressive views of valleys, mountains and many Berber villages nearby. Arrival to Marrakech in evening, transfer to your hotel or riad and end of our service.
